Challenges and opportunities when serving in an Honor-Shame context

Many of the unreached embrace honor-shame cultures, and so do some of the families that have moved into our neighborhoods. To reach them we have to cross cultural barriers. How we serve and what we share sincerely from our perspective might easily be misinterpreted and sometimes even result in opposition. We need to discern, understand the risks and will look at what practices may help us show and share God’s love appropriately.
