As followers of Jesus, we are called to share a message of hope with the world. That call may entail risk, and may be to places where we will not be welcomed. We are not called to success, as we are able to measure it, but to faithfulness in the calling. We read of God at work in the pages of Scripture and are tempted to think that that was then. But what about today, in hard and hostile places? From one generation looking back to a generation still to come, reminders that God is still the same, and still at work, if only we have eyes to see beyond the merely visible.
