MercyMed of Columbus exists to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and demonstrate His love by providing affordable, quality healthcare to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the underserved. We are a 501c3 health clinic at the cross section of urban and rural healthcare. As a non-profit facility we offer our patients discounted medical services even if they do not have insurance or are underinsured through the Medicaid system. MercyMed offers primary, pediatric, physical therapy, optometry, ophthalmology, dental, social, counseling, and dietician services for our diverse patient base mostly consisting of African American, Caucasian, and Hispanic patients. With a majority of our patients struggling with chronic health conditions we want to be innovative in our approach to treating them, so we started an urban garden and offer classes in fitness/exercise, gardening, cooking, and sleep education. While we have a large offering of services for our patients we can not provide for all of their needs. We partner with local specialists, hospitals, churches, and missions organizations to provide specialty care, radiological services, prayer, and food/housing needs for our neighbors. MercyMed wants to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the Columbus, GA community and stand in the gap for our friends who need help.
