About the organization

Business that Supports Missions

RecycloCraftz started in 2008 when founder, occupational therapist and veteran homeschooling mom of 8, Tracy Murray,  lived in Zambia for 4 1/2 years. When she saw and understood the needs in the life of her pastor's wife and family she was led to make a difference. RecycloCraftz began. Thru crafting beautiful and unique purses, jewelry, bowls and other craftz using upcycled fabric scraps, damaged clothes and cloth, paper, VCR tapes and more which are sold in the US and Zambia lives are transformed. Now a 501 C-3 non-profit organization, lives have changed because of a steady source of income, educational gains for the 30 members and the children they care for, as well as a grounding in a Christ-centered world view. Using a holistic, community centered outreach approach in the capital city of Lusaka  there is more food on the table, more health care available and sustainable educational opportunities that did not exist before. Since it's inception 13 years ago we have begun to voice all the areas where RecycloCraftz impacts lives including Literacy Development and Educational Enrichment through multiple libraries, Vocational Training beyond the products sent to the States, nutritional enhancement through ministry center based gardens, microloans and personal savings, secure housing, health care and access to needed therapy plus discipleship and pastoral support and empowerment.  We are blessed to have worked with a trusted group of people in Zambia for over 13 years.  Learn more at RecycloCraftz.org or contact Tracy@RecycloCraftz.org Our US Operations is based in Louisville, KY and Tracy can be reached at 717-344-2530
